Our first FLyRUS getaway in 2014 took us into the Fränkische Schweiz, a mountain ridge in the North of Bavaria. Its a marvelous region with extraordinarily good fly fishing and great fish stocks! Brown trouts, rainbows and lots of graylings …you have them all over here! And even fishes over 50cm are caught here on a regular basis. This trip was a blast! Ole and Simon were this time accompanied by a guest who hasn’t fished the Fränkische with its tributaries before – well, he got hooked too!
